22 Jump Street

it's been so so long since i wrote my last movie review. because i looove movies, i will keep the tradition alive. and i will start with 22 Jump Street! honestly, the first movie wasn't that memorable and not that funny. beside, the jokes mostly are dirty jokes instead of pure jokes (if you know what i mean). but this one is definitely funny! i even laugh my ass off! but still.. some of the jokes are not really my taste. but overall was damn funny and a good plot. it's too refreshing seeing Channing Tatum ;p (i think one of the reason i watched this movie)

The Lone Ranger

before i said anything about this movie, i gotta say that this year and maybe the next year will have some great movies that people will be curious enough to see. and for me, as a movie addict (well a little to say the least), am very excited to wait what comes next in the blockbuster, including Insidious 2 (hello? one of the most scary movie of all time has a sequel?). 

okay, back to this movie. of course i will be expecting that this will be an action-comedy movie because there's Johnny Depp. although i would love to see more on the ending, such as Tonto will be accepted again by his tribe. but i love love love the theme = wild wild west. and because of this movie, i found my new interest: Indian people, native American culture.

Dead Mine

i just thought it will be a bit cooler. all i'm saying is i'm a little bit not what i expected. although the set and the make up is really Hollywood, but the actors didn't convince me so much. i get the concept of this movie, and it was actually really cool. but the way the portray it in this movie, not so good. but i think it's a good start for Indonesia actors to break into Hollywood. this movie makes me want to watch Fast and Furious 6 even more. to see how Joe Taslim act, that is. you should watch and tell me how you think.

 this movie makes me want to join an acapella group and be a nerd. haha! this movie is surprisingly hilarious (but most of it because Rebel makes it funny). i just love that Fat Amy is really confident with herself and she is funny as hell! Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow has an amazing voice! like it said in the title, must watch! i've been watching this movie for 3 times in 2 days! yeah, i can say that i'm a little addicted ;)

have you read the book? because i haven't but i think the book is as awesome as this movie. usually books are better than the movies, but i think this movie nailed it. Charlie has a pure and innocent heart despite his horrible past, Sam and Patrick is just genuinely great friends, always know how to have fun. and Emma Watson is surprisingly could get rid of her British accent. bravo for her! and she is just simply stunning in short hair. makes me want to cut my hair just like her and dress like her. just your typical high school story plot, but i don't know why, i was really mesmerize with this movie.

Habibie & Ainun

this is actually my first time ever reviewing Indonesian movies. well because this is actually one of the best Indonesian movie that i watched in a really long time. and may i say, that Indonesian movie industry are back on track. after watching 5 cm (which have a breathtaking cinematography. must watch also) and this movie, i can't wait to see what's in store next. i love love love Reza Rahadian's acting. he's a gorgeous actor, but in here, he just look like Forrest Gump. but that's a good thing! that means he nailed being Habibie. this movie also makes me like BJ Habibie more. he is super genius and always so sure about himself.

The Expendables 2

as i expected, this movie is really incredible! great action movie (well of course. look at the actors!), and my favorite part is that it has a biting sense of humor. especially when Silvester Stalone said: "that thing should be on a museum", and Arnold said: "we all should be on a museum". i don't know why, but that one was really hilarious. too bad Liam Hemsworth died too soon in this movie. i really wanted to see him in action.

What To Expect When You're Expecting

one thing for sure, this movie is beyond hilarious! haha! it has a really fresh perspective about pregnancy and what i love most about this movie is it actually not only tell the story about the pregnant woman, but also from the father perspective. how they stay true with what they really are, hanging with fellow father and talked like boys should talk, only this time they bring their babies with them! if you miss Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez in action, you simply must see this movie.

The Dark Knight Rises

it's been a while that i didn't post a movie review although i've been watch a couple of new movies this past couple of weeks. but i didn't want to review the other cause i think this movie is the best of the batch. i thought it will be like Spiderman movie which i thought really not that good although i really love looking Andrew Garfield smile ;p but i mean come on! Uncle Ben died twice? and her love between Gwen Stacy is really kinda easy. and i'm reviewing that movie instead of this. okay, back to this. i loooove.. Anne Hathaway in here. she's sexy, she's strong, she's everything a woman could ever be. and the story makes you didn't even want to blink! yep, that's how good this movie is. PS: Tom Hardy looks really buff in this movie. if it weren't for the synopsis that i read, i won't notice that it was him!

Mirror Mirror

 

okaay.. so yes Lily Collins is super super pretty in this movie, and yes that Julia Roberts is brilliant being a villain, but there's nothing that really interesting about this movie at all! the effect is almost terrible, i think they try to make this movie as funny as possible but fail to do so, and the worst of all the costume! dear god! i just want to burn them and make a fire camp! i'm so sorry. but you better not watch this movie. although you will enjoy the seven little dwarfs. they're so cute and i think they're the only reason why i watched this movie 'til the end. ah yes! i almost forgot. what the hell did the director think to put the scene where Lily have to dance and sing that awful Indian song? (not that i didn't like Indian music). it was such a disaster!

21 Jump Street

 

it was really nice to see Jonah Hill got skinnier. and it was nicer to see Channing Tatum to play in a comedy movie! it's like the moon and the sun after I saw his acting in The Vow. it's a prove that he is a multi talented actor. he could dance, he could be romantic, he could be tough, and now apparently, he could be a comedian also! (applause)

need to freshen up your brain and to make your frown upside down? this movie is the right choice! Channing Tatum, high school, and Johnny Depp as a cameo!

Apollo 18

 

okaay.. i don't know whether i wanted to believe this movie is actually an actual footage when NASA went to the moon for the second time (after Neil Armstrong first attempt to go there). at first this movie is kinda boring and a little hard to understand and to hear because well, it's a footage. but as time goes by, the movie gets more interesting and in the end, it'll make you jump from where you sat. from what i realize in this movie, if it's really true, Americans like to abandon their own people. haha! i mean, come on! that guy asked for help because he just saw his friends got eaten by an alien and all the DOD could say was he couldn't go back to earth and he will die a hero. so cruel! you guys should watch, but it's your decision to believe that it was a true footage or not. 'cause i can't.

 best movie ever! well not ever. but it's really inspirational. it's not like any other cancer movie because there's Seth Rogen. haha! there was like once or twice when i actually cry and laugh at the same time. the brilliant thing is, they actually put some humor on this movie so it won't looked like a depressing movie about some guy that has to face cancer in his early life. and i looove.. the chemistry between Anna Kendrick and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. it looked as if they really do like each other. one more thing, Joseph is cuter than ever! I LOVE HIM

Paranormal Activity 3

 

forget about Paranormal Activity 1 and 2 (that was actually sucks and sooo.. boring) and i thought the third movie is so too. and i kinda hesitated when i bought this. but hey, i'm a thriller and horror movie addict, so i can't help it. and i was so don't regret buying the movie. it is so frightening! i had my pillow in front of my face all the way til the end of the movie. Toby (so called ghost in this movie) is really know how to made you scared. i have jitters, goosebumps and so on all over my body. word of advice, don't watch this ALONE and AT NIGHT.

The Thing

 

all hell breaks lose.. in the Arctic! haha! this movie is beyond amazing. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is amazing as always, she's really has clicked with this kind of movie remembering her act in Final Destination 3. to think if i was in this movie my wall of defense will go as high as possible even the berlin wall will be there again haha! the most interesting part of this movie is because you didn't know who you're gonna trust 'cause everybody could be an alien copying you.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

 

like always, Guy Ritchie always makes Robert Downey Jr. a sharp, fast pace acting and i that's what i love about this movie. too bad Irene Adler died (woops! sorry, a 'lil bit spoiler to those who haven't watch this movie yet). and as always and thanks to the writer, i could see Dr. Watson's wife again. she is so pretty and her face is timeless beauty. she never looked ugly. so MUST watch this and make your adrenaline pumping through the end.

Dream House

 

i thought this movie is about two little girls ghosts. but actually it's better than that. it's about a murder, and at first i thought that Will (Daniel Craig) who murdered them. but nooo.. (and i won't tell you who 'cause it'll be a buzzkill hehe) he was actually the victim. all through the first chapter of this movie, he only saw what he wanted to saw, his daughters and wife alive again. it's so heart breaking to see him so frustrated. and after 5 years, nobody knew that he's innocent and people always stare at him like he's the bad guy.

The Rise of The Planet of The Apes

 

the only reason i watched this movie is because there's Tom Felton involved. haha! he is so handsome, but like always he's being kind of a prick. anywaaay.. i love how they make the apes so intelligent in this movei. it's like they really that smart in real life. all the special effect is really flawless, makes me think that the apes is actually an actual ape for a second. well if you love James Franco (in my case it's Tom Felton ;p) you should watch this movie.

Breaking Dawn

okaay.. i'm totally in love with the wedding! the dress is stunning, the venue is breath-taking, Edward is gorgeous like always, everything i want! aaah! so envy with her. haha!

oh, and i love the special effect they have done to Bella. i mean it's like my imagination when i read the book came true. she was looking so skinny yet happy with the baby inside killing her. but i kinda wanna throw up though when i saw the part where she has to drink blood. i mean, come on! it's gross! 

lastly, Renesmee is too cute! she got this wide rounded eyes. i just want to cuddle her!

Just Go With It

 

Adam Sandler always got me! haha! and with Jennifer Aniston too! this comedy genre movie is epic. must watch guys! it tells a story about a man who always lies by wearing a fake wedding ring to sleep with women. one time, he likes a girl very very much (played by Brooklyn Decker whose got a killer body if i may add) and asked his receptionist/assistant to be his wife. from then, the lies becoming a wildfire until all the truth came out in their Hawaiian chaotic vacation. oh, by the way, Nicole Kidman is in this movie too. :)

Trespass

this movie is actually brilliant if you care to think to their thoughts (the trespassers). i love it because in the first 30 minutes you watched this, you thought that the only fugitive in the house is Nicole Kidman and Nicholas Cage and their daughter. but by the time Cage didn't want to give the code to the trespassers, they started to reveal their problems. that actually one person (the one that lead the operation to rob the house) was the real fugitive 'cause he has a huge debt to one of his friend and it gets more complicated since there. trust between other too.
