eurail, europe train and stupidity

akhirnyaaa.. setelah 4 hari jalan2 di holland, gw cao ke Ilmenau via Frankfurt dan Erfurt. yap! gw naik kereta instead of taking the plane. emang enakan naik kereta sih, soalnya bisa ngeliat pemandangan yang bagus banget kayak ladang bunga kuning (since i was there at spring).

my tips, kalo mo naik kereta di eropa, apalagi lo mo keliling2 eropa sampe mabok, BELI EURAIL PASS. kalo beli itu sangat2 enak. cuman tinggal naik kereta, sodorin tiket, tiketnya dicap, udah deh tinggal duduk manis. ngomong2 tentang duduk manis, pertama kali gw naik kereta gw kagak ada tuh yg namanya duduk manis. bukan salah tiketnya, tapi salah gw karena gw gatau kursi mana yg udh di reserved dan mana yg enggak. soo.. pertama gw udh duduk nih di kursi pertama di 2nd class. gw udh sempet tidur dan udh ngelewatin beberapa stasiun. pas nyampe si suatu stasiun, ada org yg bilang kalo kursi yg gw dudukin ternyata dia udh reserve. yowes lah gw pindah dgn membawa2 koper gw yg super berat. gw menemukan gerbong yg lumayan sepi dan duduklah gw di kursi kedua. setelah gw sempet nyemil2 dan tidur (lagi), ada yg minta liat tiket padahal tiket gw udh dicap. trus dia ngasih tau gw kalo gerbing itu 1st class sedangkan tiket gw buat 2nd class. daaaar!! untungnya gw dikasih tau pas tinggal satu stasiun lagi ke Frankfurt. yaudahlah karena gw udh males nyari bangku kosong lagi, gw duduk di lantai. #nasiborgkagaktaunaikkeretaeropa
ps : sampe skrg pun gw ga ngerti mana yg udh ke reserved mana yg kagak. beware aja sama tulisan bahn-confort. alhamdulillah kalo lo ngerti bahasa jerman. ;)

oya, eurail pass ini ada beberapa macem. tergantung lo mo ke negara mana. karena gw ke amsterdam sama german only, jadi gw cuman beli benelux-germany pass. eurail ticket ini bisa lo beli di travel agent manapun. mending minta urusin mereka daripada ngurus sendiri krn mereka sangat ngerti mana yg paling baik buat kita. namanya juga travel agent.

Keukenhoff, the flower heaven

 i felt like i'm in heaven! well, flower heaven even though there's not much tulips ('cause i'm searching for those in Holland) anymore. it was so magical (what am i talking about?)

by the way, it was really chilly when i got there. i wore a cardigan topped with a jeans jacket and wore a thick scarf too, but i was still freezing. you know what i did wrong? i wore a SANDAL! how stupid i am. well at first i thought it wasn't gonna be that chilly. blame the weather ;p

by the waaay.. i really love the apple pie there. it was so yummy! :9 

at Keukenhoff, i literally go to all the places there. every museum, every park. but i wasn't exhausted, neither was Tante Lianda. maybe because we took a lot of pictures along the way. hehe, 

the museum, especially the decorated flower museum, was lovely. they're really creative with those flowers. they even made a dress with it! i wish i'm that feminine. maybe i'll buy some flowers and decorated my room with some. :) talking about buying things, i am sooooo.. regretting not buying one of the traditional Holland shoes (i forgot what they called there). they were so cute and cheap.

Megamind

 

this movie safe me from boredom at the plane from Dubai to Jakarta. the movie was really really funny! i can't stop laughing and some guy who sat beside me looked at me weirdly. well he may thought i've gone crazy. haha! i love the idea how a villain become a superhero with a crazy idea to kill a superhero, destroy the city, got bored, made a new superhero (who turned out to be a bad person) and actually he has to be the one to stop it with his overly big blue head. ;p

strolling in Volendam

after having enough rest, i went to Volendam (a little tourist town) with Marco. the weather is nice, sun is shining, but a little bit windy. we walked all over the road, and Marco told me all about the history of the houses and i was really impressed by how the houses looked, how the streets are really clean. i want to lived there (i wish! haha)

it was actually fresh water, not salt water! brilliant!

and after strolling around, i took a picture wearing holland traditional costume. :D
my tips, if you ever want to take a picture wearing traditional costume, be sure you find a store which you could take a picture by your own camera too. because many of the stores doesn't allow you to take personal pictures anymore 'cause of some crazy tourist. they only wear the costumes and took a picture (with their own camera) and then just left without even paying.

The Netherlands

yay! my long dream to go abroad is finally came true! i'm so happy! but right now, it was just like a dream, except with photo evidence. ;p
okay. so it was a 12 hours flight from Jakarta to Dubai then to Amsterdam. the long flight was worth it 'cause when i arrived in the airport, i felt really good. haha! i was staying for 4 days in Amsterdam (actually Amstelveen in specific) in my mom's friend. her family's are really really nice to me. i personally adore her sons, Damian and Galvin. they're sooo.. cute. even though they couldn't speak english, but i had fun with them. :)

too bad i didn't take a picturre with Marco (Tante Lianda's husband). he's really nice and intelligent. i like talking to him. :)

semuanya pasti ada risiko

eit! jangan salah sangka dulu nih, kayaknya kalo ngeliat dari judulnya gw ngobrolin sesuatu yang serius ya kan. kalo lo ngira gitu, tet tot! salah. gw cuman pengen nyeritain suka duka berambut pendek.

kebanyakan cewek (apalagi yang feminim) ga mau tuh potong rambut seekstrim gw. kakak gw aja geleng2 kepala mulu kalo ngeliat gw potong rambut padahal udah panjang sebahu. reaksi satu rumah pun beda2.

gw : (lagi depan kaca ngacak2 rambut baru seger dipotong)

kakak gw : (masuk kamar) yampun ditaaa! lo potong rambut lagi? sayang bangeet.. padahal rambutnya kan udah panjang

nyokap : lebih seger ya jadinya (sambil senyum ramah)

bokap : waaah.. ada yang baru nih dari anak ayah (sambil nyamperin gw dengan muka yang over excited). pipinya jadi tambah chubby ya.

gw : deeees!!

tapi, karena gw emg dari dulu suka gonta ganti gaya rambut udah biasa sama reaksi2 orang. ada yang seneng, ga suka sampe sinis pun juga ada. gw mah selooow.. rambut bisa tumbuh lagi kok. ya toh?

ada beberapa kejadian lucu saat gw masih fresh2nya punya rambut pendek (beberapa org bilangnya cepak).

waktu di bandara surabaya, pas abis ngambil tas super gede gw, gw lupa ngasih bukti baggage claim. officer ngedatengin gw. gw lagi ngadep belakang dan dengan setelan tas carrier merah, sepatu converse usang, jaket hoodie biru gelap and of course.. rambut super pendek gw, dicolek sama officernya sambil ditegur : "mas.. mas.. bukti baggage claimnya mana?" DAAAAR! gw dikira laki2. sial. 

satu lagi, jaman gw SMA. gw juga baru potong rambut. gw ngerayain tahun baruan di vila gw di ciwidey sama temen2 gw. pastinyo kita foto2. beberapa hari setelah itu, gw upload foto2nya ke fb dan gw bikin salah satunya pp. trus dengan keniatan temen gw, dia sms : "ta, kok lo majang foto cowok sih jdi pp lo?" gw mikir. hah? itu kan gw. pas gw liat2, ternyata emang miriiip! damn! gw lagi nunduk mainin hp, jaket kegedean and of course, again, rambut pendek gw. JIAAAH! nasib. kampret.

tapi walopun sering dikira laki2 ato cewek tomboy, gw sebenernya ga tomboy2 banget. emaang.. dulu gw tomboy parah. tapi makin kesini gw udah concern lah sama penampilan dan outer beauty gw. lagipula, menjadi tomboy semasa lalu, gw merasa kepribadian gw terasah dan ga kaku. gw fleksibel dalam menerima berbagai macam tipe kepribadian orang (baca : bergaul). gw diajakin apa aja hayo wae (daki gunung sampe ngejait juga gw hajar).

gw cuman pengen ngegaris bawahin kalo berambut pendek itu bukan berarti tomboy. itu namanya kemungkinan seorang cewek suka mengeksplor gaya/kreatif, merasa mukanya pas berambut pendek, mungkin orangnya bosenan, or simply ke-ge-ra-han.

to know me more

 

 soo.. this is my room (kosan). i'm sharing it with my older sister. not the perfect room to live in, but i'm always trying to grow into it. it's actually better when it comes to temperature. it's colder up in here than my friend's room. but it's scary when days become night (or maybe just because i'm a pussy. damn those horror movie!)

and this iiis.. my super duper messy corner. haha! but sometimes messy is art. right? ;p

but i'm not a messy girl, sometimes i tidy things up including this corner although i prefer to make it messy. it's comfortable for me to see it like that (i don't know why).

and last, my closet (that i can't and never will locked). it will never be as messy as my corner because i love to coordinate all my clothes according their color. haha! i just realized after looking (hard enough) into the closet, that i don't have much colorful clothes. i need to buy more of those even though sometimes when i have it i'm just to shy to wear it 'cause it doesn't look good with my skin tone. :(

Morning Glory

 

this is a fast pacing story! haha! but in a good way though, not like the social network fast. i love how enthusiastic Becky (Rachel McAdams) with her job. she's really picturing a great and passionate woman nowadays. even though sometimes she's gone a little bit crazy over her job. not really a person that can balanced her job and love life. by the way, in this story, she has to cope with the new anchor, which is played by Harrison Ford. he looks devil may care by the way in this movie. like he didn't give a damn about anything but news. it was really funny how their relationship turns out. they always fighting, he always made her frustrated, but deep down he really cares about her. it was so sweet.

miss my long hair!!

 

 suddenly i miss my long hair even though i really enjoy having a short hair. well, i think i'm just "homesick". (omygod my language)

pembuatan visa

bukannya gw mo sok tau ato gmna, mumpung gw udah ngalamin sendiri, jadi gw cuman pengen bagi2 pengalaman dan ilmu (ciah!) aja. oke?

well.. karena tujuan gw jerman, so pasti gw ngajuin pembuatan visanya di kedubes jerman. kalo pada gatau itu dimana, itu deket banget sama bunderan HI dan depan2an sama Harvey Nichols. mereka buka dari jam 7 pagi, ga ada tulisan kedubes jerman gede2, so lo harus cermat ngeliat kalo ga lo bakal muter2. untuk ngajuin visa, you have to prepare :
1. visa application form yang diisi lengkap (kalo enggak bakal dicoret pake spidol merah dengan seenak jidatnya sama mereka)
2. paspor asli (krn bakal ditahan sama mereka sampe visa keluar dan mereka ga butuh fotokopiannya)
3. asuransi perjalanan (dgn materai 6000)
4. bukti bookingan tiket pesawat
5. official invitation letter dari ISWI (fotokopian)
6. kalo mo extend, harus ada bukti bookingan hotel. kalo mau nginep dirumah temen ato sodara, harus ada invitation letter dari mereka
7. kartu keluarga (fotokopian)
8. print-an rekening bank selama 3 bulan (min. kurang lebih 15 jt)
9. surat keterangan mahasiswa dari fakultas

saran dari gw, paling enak dateng hari jumat karena itu adalah hari yang paling sepi karena stand visa yang buat tinggal lebih dari 3 bulan tutup hari itu, jadi walopun lo dateng jam 7 pas (ga perlu ngantri dari pagi2 bolong), itu palingan baru ada 2-3 orangan. trus, kalo mo nanya2, mending sama satpamnya aja. mereka jauuuuuuh lebih baik daripada orang2 yang ada di dalem. hehe, gw aja becanda2 dulu sama mereka (sebenernya untuk menghilangkan deg2an sebelom masuk untuk diwawancara ;p)
oya, pengantar ga boleh masuk, trus diluar ga ada tempat duduk. jadi kalo lagi musim hujan, bawa payung. suruh yang nganter lo (kalo ga bawa mobil), bawa majalah ato apapun buat melepas penat soalnya bakalan ngemper kayak gembel.
