sarjanaaaaa!

 

i am over the moon up until now! i felt so blessed. all of my disappointment, all of the tears of regrets, and all this weight that i feel like having for months has gone and lifted out of my shoulders. i know i know.. the euphoria will end as soon as my graduation day because i have to worry about other things. job and in my case, finding scholarships for (hopefully) my abroad master degree plan.

but i don't want to get ahead of myself, so in this post i just want to thank all of my friends, my smart friends for that specific, who helped me with my struggle to understand the concept oceanography and helped me learned about ArcGis and Surfer. thank you for my best girlfriends (13 of them) for making me sane and by being my go to girls if i needed to talk or whine about my skripsi. thank you for IVR for lending me your laptop when i needed it the most, for listening and giving all your encouragement words when i was down and lazy (that will be a lot of time ;p), and basically for being beside me from the very beginning until the end (yes, i forgive you for not coming to my last skripsi defense). and finally thank you for my parents for your prayer and your faith in me. i'm so sorry it took me so long to get my bachelor degree.

for all of my friend who still struggle with their skripsi, i will support you all the way, and to not give up :)

my fellow cetaceans of Raja Ampat

 i was there for my final college paper or as we called it here 'skripsi'. i was so ecstatic for this trip yet so nervous because actually i've been wanting to do this from May. but because of my stupidity and a bit miscommunication, i ended up taking the trip to Raja Ampat in November. but hey, no regrets.

by the way, back to my fellow cute mammals. me and the team found 3 species in total in all of our trip which include bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins, and pilot whales (lots of them if i might add). they were bowriding, breaching, and doing all this cute stuff that makes me just want to jump from the boat and swim with them haha.

along the way, we met this wounded sail fish. it has a bright blue color on the front of its sail.

akhirnya maju juga gw UP (Usulan Penelitian). alhamdulillah lancar dan ga terlalu lama hehe. terima kasih buat temen2 gw yang selalu mendukung. i feel lucky 'cause usually people only got one or two best friend, instead i got 13 of them! and my very very best man, Immanuel Variant Rumende. so very lucky to have him by my side through good and bad times :D

and the manta awareness still going on..

although our 'Komodo' times has passed, Ichsan and I still very much wanted people to know about mantas. so our dive organization decided making us as one of the keynote speaker in our second annual expo! and yes, it was nerve wracking! i mean come on, i never am confident enough to talk in front of my class, and now i have to do what?! but it went well, don't get me wrong. i was just sweating like crazy, and i talked really fast. after this? no more public speaking please ;p (well maybe not this time around)

by the way, i am very proud to be one of the two people that got an amazing opportunity as a MantaWatch intern. i mean come on, for one month i got to meet mantas (that means constantly diving) and i don't have to think about all my campus assignments? what could be better than that? haha! jadi kenangan setelah lengser

gw officially lengser jadi pengurus OSEANIK sejak tanggal 29 November 2012 kamis kemaren. rasanya seneng sekaligus sedih. dan gw kira gw bakal merasa lega banget karena gw ga harus musingin ngurus acara2 lagi dan bleketek lainnya, tapi gw malah ngerasa kayak ga ada yang berubah. gw masih merasa punya tanggung jawab akan hal2 yang menyangkut OSEANIK (well pastinya, karena walopun gw udah lengser tapi gw masih harus 'ngawas'). semua kenangan2 yang udah gw lakuin sama temen2 OSEANIK bener2 menyenangkan, dari yang ngeselin, makan ati, nyenengin hati, sampe yang bikin sakit perut gara2 kebanyakan ketawa. i'll miss them and our crazy talks every time we spend times together. semoga gw masih bisa meluangkan waktu buat ikutan acara2 yang dibuat OSEANIK. one thing i can't wait: our next expedition! sign me in! :D

first REAL attemp

yep! in these pictures are me. (believe me that it's not another person just cause you couldn't see my face ;p) this s my first attempt to do a real Line Intersept Transect (LIT). LIT is one of a method to collect coral reefs percentage. and i think i did pretty well. my bouyancy (again) is getting better. even though i fell into a blank for a second hehe (the lifeforms i mean)

 

and believe me, it won't be my last time diving in Pulau Seribu :)

this is nothing!

boys in my class

sometimes, boys in my class can be assholes (excuse my bad vocab). but they do, they really do.

they are a bully
not just to the other boys, but to the girls too. for example, one day my close friend decided to wear a very hip, very chic pants (that looks like an Aladdin pants). me and the girls think it's cute and stylish. but do the boys agree? noooo! they just bully her! they said she looked someone out of the Aladdin movie and for a week (maybe i think until now!) they still asked her "hey, where's your carpet?" SO ANNOYING!

they are no gentlemen
to be specific, they are waaaay far from a gentlemen. they didn't even bother to ask us whether we wanted a ride down ('cause my faculty is really far from the main gate) every after classes while we're waiting for a angkot gratis to come which sometimes could be forever! and if it's dark and it's really really late, they still never bother! usually we girls have to ask them first. gosh, how pathetic.

they are a pussy
they like to talk about people, harassing people, but whey the table turns, they just get mad. that's so not fair and yes. pussy pussy pussy!

well.. they're not always bad. they're actually decent. but still so annoying.

kalo ngeliat maba2 berkeliaran sekarang2 ini jadi teringat masa gw sendiri pas jadi maba. dengan rambut pendek gw (gw dulu sempet dipanggil satpam cewek sama salah satu senior gw -_-), kemeja biru kegedaan yang baru gw beli malem sebelum gw ospek, rok panjang yang bahannya ga nyaman, dan seperti maba lainnya... name tag yang selalu gw copot kalo udh nyampe gerbang. kan gawat kalo tukang ojek tau nama gw gara2 tuh name tag sialan. haha!

well, semenderitanya gw dulu, sekarang dijadiin cerita seru banget lho! kayaknya ga ada abis2nya. dari senior yang paling disebelin, waktu2 paling memalukan pas ospek, banyak lah. pastinya mengundang cawa tanda. nyesel banget ninggalin satu momen ospek karena males doang. kan kalo gitu jadi kalo temen2 lagi cerita kitanya jadi ga nyambung. ya toh?
